As such, take the same path forward as you would if you entered from Searing Gorge. This path will run straight into the long chain leading onto the rock ledge. When entering from Burning Steppes, follow the path up to the left into the Molten Span. Touch the orb to zone into Blackwing Lair. Assuming you've completed your Blackwing Lair Attunement, run right down the long hallway and you'll see an orb. Through the doorway is the instance portal for Blackrock Spire. When you reach the edge of the ledge, there is a balcony just below the edge. Run up the chain and follow the ledge around the corner. To the East, there is a long chain that leads up to a broken stone ledge. When entering from Searing Gorge, follow the initial path into the Molten Span. The Horde will fly into Kargath in Badlands, to Thorium Point in Searing Gorge, or to Flame Crest within Burning Steppes.The Alliance will fly to Thorium Point in Searing Gorge or Morgan’s Vigil in Burning Steppes.Touch the orb to zone into Blackwing Lair.īlackwing Lair is located inside Blackrock Mountain, along withīlackrock Mountain entrance in Searing Gorgeīlackrock Mountain entrance in Burning Steppes At the end of the hallway, you'll see an orb. The Orb of Ascension, behind General DrakkisathĪfter completion, you can quickly zone into Blackwing Lair by running down that same hallway in which you killed Scarshield Quartermaster, right of the entrance to Blackrock Spire. This quest requires you to touch the Orb of Ascension, behind General Drakkisath, final boss of Blackrock Spire. Kill him and he will drop Blackhand's Command, which begins Blackhand's Command. You'll see several Scarshield mobs, including Scarshield Quartermaster. If you are facing the entrance of Blackrock Spire, turn right and look down the hallway.
